Fasting is harder when it's not from food (also a possible bomb in the mail)

Hey everyone! The MTC is getting into a pretty normal schedule, so I can't really tell you about anything new, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to talk about! I'll be sure to keep it a tad shorter this time, I want y'all to actually read these after all.

TRC has been pretty chill recently, Andrea has warmed up to us a bit and has been reading and loving the Book of Mormon! Even though it's just a role play, it's hard to think that when you're in there with her. We've got her next week and we're really excited!

Wednesday was our Ayuno de Ingles, or Fast from English. Going a whole day was really hard, especially when someone I knew wanted to talk to me like Hermana Watts (from EFY) or the Mensels, but we made it through without a word of English! Well, except for once or twice when we forgot, but those were only for a few seconds. Speaking of, the Mensels have been here with me all week! It's super fun to see Fred and Jane almost every time in the cafeteria, but it's weird to think of my old home teacher people as senior missionaries. Fred always has something new to make fun of though, so it's like I'm back home (P.S. The mensels are our neighbors and Sarah Hanson's grandparents, for those of you who don't know)

Yesterday Elder Barnum and I got a package slip we didn't expect, so Elders Rydalch and Christiansen went with us to pick them up. Lo and behold, it was a plain white box from someone named Amy R--as in both Elder Barnum and I got the same thing. A couple of joke about being a bomb later, we opened it up and it was full of candy, a really nice note, and a mini real pumpkin! Through some sleuthing (she had a quote from her older son---Lance Christiansen) we figured out it was our district President's mom! Apparently he noticed the first few weeks we (and Elder Spencer got one too) weren't getting packages, so he got his mom to send us some. She seems like a really nice person, but I'll have to let her know I'm getting plenty from my amazing family now :) (If you didn't get the message, that means I don't need any more than I'm getting haha, I do love them though)

So those were really the only things that happened this week other than the usual, hopefully it's at least a tad shorter than my other emails. I love you all and hope to hear from you more!

Love,
Elder Preston Bone
